Mushroom Gnocchi

Ingredients

500 g Potato gnocchi

300 g Mercer Mushrooms of your choice 

50 g Butter

1 Medium onion

2 Garlic cloves

60 ml Dry white wine

3 tsp Fresh thyme

1 tbsp Tamari sauce (optional)

1 tsp Sea salt

1 tsp Ground black pepper

Mushroom Gnocchi

Method

  1. In a large skillet, melt 25g of butter over medium heat. Slice the mushrooms and add them to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and stir in tamari sauce. Cook until the mushrooms are golden brown. 
  2. Next, add sliced onion and minced garlic, and sauté for an additional 5 minutes. Pour in the white wine and add thyme, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. 
  3. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi. Once cooked, drain the gnocchi and add them to the skillet with the mushrooms
  4. Finally, mix in the remaining butter and fry everything together until the gnocchi are golden brown.
